Stop dieting, lose weight!

I have met many people over the years who have tried all sorts of diets. They lost lots of weight and often felt great, and then gradually put it all back on again with a little bit more each time. So they tried the next one, and then the next one, and it goes on and on. Yo yo dieting is extremely bad for the health and is a sure way to steadily become heavier over the years. I am actually very impressed that these people can suffer almost starvation diets, sometimes being deprived for weeks on end on as little as 350 calories! That alone seems like madness, but to go through all of that and then sadly see it all pile back on again is beyond belief. However mad it seems, it happens a lot, and I would love to understand what it is that these diets have that lure so many people and also force them to part with what are often substantial amount of money. I would go so far as to say that I think diets are actually harmful to health.

So, what about my weight loss programmes then? What is the difference? Predominantly I focus on the mind, so that my client can learn to modify their attitude and behaviour regarding food. Unless the mindset is changed, they are likely to fall back to their old ways time and time again. This takes effort but it is certainly a more pleasant way to lose weight than living off 350 calories a day, or counting points and following some really complicated programme, that is never going to last anyway. The difference is that I focus on the way that a person eats, the times that are best for calorie burning, what types of foods can be included to boost the metabolism, and how to burn that fat. Some people are overweight because they are so congested and sluggish and they may not actually eat a huge amount of food. They are not able to efficiently digest food and their metabolism is really slow. Yes some people have a naturally speedy metabolism and never have to think about what they eat, but that doesn't mean that a person with a slow metabolism needs to resign themselves to being fat unless they are on a diet. So we have some people who have virtually zero self control and are simply eating much too much. We have some people who don't eat that much but have a sluggish system, and then we have people who follow an unhealthy diet and lifestyle and don't really know how to break bad habits, or where to start.

If you would like to sign up to one of my weight loss programmes, in which I will show you a completely new way of tackling weight loss once and for all, please get in touch. The good thing is you have no need to go out and buy supplements or special foods, and you will be making life long changes with a programme that you can keep and go back to whenever you need to. Staying slim will become second nature and you will be able to enjoy all the foods you love, eat out and forget about calorie counting once and for all.
